Here’s what you should know and do if you have a roof leak or suspect storm damage.

Storm Damage Tips

If you think you have storm damage, call your insurance company and file a claim. Then call your roofer to get on their schedule. If you have a major leak or something requiring emergency roof repair, remember, not all roofing companies in Lebanon offer emergency roof repair, so make sure the one you call does. Although they won’t fix the hole, they’ll provide a temporary tarp to stop further water intrusion. It doesn’t matter if the roofer gets to your property before your insurance adjustor, just keep both parties informed of what is going on.

Roof Leak Tips

If you know that you just have a roof leak, call your roofing company. If this storm made the issue worse, let them know how major your roof leak. They may move you up in their queue based on the severity of the issue. If you have a roof leak, but think it could be more – or even storm damage from one of the year’s earlier storms, let your roofer know. You are still in the claim period for any storm damage this year.
