Choose certified roofing contractors for your new roof

There are many Tennessee roofing companies. Most follow the law and have proper licensing and insurance. However, you should want the people installing your new roof to be certified roofing contractors. Companies who choose to go beyond the minimum training and achieve a certified status with the manufacturers do a better job because they know what the manufacturer recommends.

Training & experience

You can go to your local home improvement store and buy shingles and install them. However, you won’t be eligible for anything beyond the manufacturer’s most basic warranty. When you choose certified roofing contractors, you’re choosing a company who has gone beyond the minimum state standards and invested in their team. The additional training takes time and costs money. However, the return on investment for most roofing companies comes in the fact that they’re more highly recommended as their roofing has few, if any, installation problems.

You still benefit when you choose another brand or roofing material

Let’s say you choose to work with a GAF certified roofing contractor but want a different brand of shingles. You still benefit from the additional training and knowledge the roofing company has gained from the certification from one manufacturer. Plus, chances are good that they’ve also completed additional training from all the manufacturers whose products they install because they care about their reputation and their customer’s satisfaction.
